How quickly can you get a ceiling hoist delivered and installed in your home in 2024? This is a common question we get asked, so let’s take a look at what’s involved in ceiling hoist delivery and installation, and how long this typically takes.
Please note that the advice in this article is based on the service we provide for our range of overhead ceiling track hoists. While this gives you a good guide, delivery & installation times may differ for other suppliers and manufacturers.
What is the typical delivery time for a ceiling hoist?
The delivery time for an overhead hoist can vary, depending on whether it is a straight-track system or a more complex H-track system, and whether you have specified a ‘fast-track’ installation.
Typical ceiling hoist delivery times range from 1 to 3 weeks. This is from when you place your order to the installation date.
Delivery times for more complex H-track systems range from 3-5 weeks. Delivery time is longer for H-track ceiling hoist systems, due to the manufacturer manufacturing the specific parts for your hoist.
How long does ceiling hoist installation take?
Again, the actual installation time for a stairlift depends on whether it’s a straight track or an H-track system.
Here at Felgains, we allow half a day for a straight-track hoist install and a whole day for installing a fairly simple H-track hoist. For hoisting systems that span multiple rooms, for example in a school, installation can take multiple days.
