How quickly can you get a stairlift fitted in 2024? | UK stairlift delivery & installation times
How quickly can you get a stairlift delivered and installed in your home in 2024? This is a common question we get asked, so let’s take a look at what’s involved in stairlift delivery and installation, and how long this typically takes.
Please note that the advice in this article is based on the service we provide for our range of Stairlifts. While this gives you a good guide, actual stairlift delivery & installation times may differ for other suppliers and manufacturers.
What is the typical delivery time for a stairlift?
The delivery time for a stairlift can vary, depending on whether it is a straight or curved stairlift, and whether you have specified a ‘fast-track’ installation.
Typical straight stairlift delivery times range from 1 to 3 weeks. This is from when you place your order to the installation date.
Delivery times for curved stairlifts range from 3-5 weeks. Delivery time is longer for curved stairlifts, due to the manufacturer manufacturing the specific bends for your staircase.
How long does stairlift installation take?
Again, the actual installation time for a stairlift depends on whether it’s straight or curved.
Here at Felgains, we allow half a day for a straight stairlift install and a whole day for installing a curved stairlift.
The stairlift is always fitted to the staircase itself, without drilling into any wall, minimising any disruption and mess. Even so, our engineers will always clean thoroughly after the installation has been completed.
