5. How do Robooter omni direction wheels work?

Made up of small rollers, Robooter’s omni wheels can drive forwards and back as a whole, and each roller can also independently rotate sideways! This revolutionary breakthrough not only gives you superior manoeuvrability in tight spaces, this technology also has an incredible ability to climb steps and drive freely in all terrains.

6. How do Robooter power wheelchair controls work?

Like all electric wheelchairs, Robooters are controlled with a joystick. This can be mounted on the left- or right-hand side.

If you have the Robooter app or optional Bluetooth controller, you can also operate your powerchair by remote control.

7. Can I take my Robooter powerchair on a plane?

Yes! Depending on the airline, you may need the optional 12Ah lithium battery (as standard, all Robooter models come with a 20Ah lithium battery). You can also buy transport storage bags to keep your powerchair safer when travelling.

8. Is there a Robooter app available?

Yes, there is a Robooter app which is compatible with all models. You can adjust a variety of driving settings and you even get remote control and cruise control modes!

9. How do I look after a Robooter’s battery?

Robooter power wheelchairs use lithium batteries which, with normal use, can last around 1,000 charge/discharge cycles. To keep the battery in the best possible condition, you should avoid completely discharging it and instead try to keep it above 20%. If you’re not planning to use your Robooter for a while, make sure you remove the battery and fully charge it before storing. After charging, it’s also a good idea to unplug the charger’s charging connector from the battery.

10. Is there any assembly required?

This depends on how you buy your Robooter powerchair. If you purchase from our showroom, or our in-house team deliver to your address, your Robooter will come fully assembled and ready to use.

If you order online, your Robooter will be delivered in a box and you will need to do some basic assembly. This includes unfolding the chair, charging and fitting the battery, as well as fitting any accessories you’ve ordered.
