Robooter power wheelchairs: which is best for me?

If you’ve looked at our range of Robooter powerchairs, you’ll know there are four models and they have some common features as well as differences. But it’s common for our customers to read some initial product information and still be asking: which Robooter power wheelchair is best for me?

This guide will explain a range of scenarios for which each Robooter model is best suited for. It won’t replace a full assessment of your needs, but it should give you a much clearer idea of what’s likely to be right for you before booking a demo/assessment or purchasing.

Robooter E40 in white

Robooter E40

The Robooter E40 is primarily designed for indoor use 🏠 It is, however, perfectly capable for ‘light’ outdoor use; by that we mean flat, even surfaces like tarmac or the path through the park🌳Anything more uneven will make your ride less comfortable, with the front swivel wheels not having the shock-absorbing capability of other options.

The Robooter E40 is also designed for travel, with a manual folding mechanism and a 25kg transport weight🧳Depending on your mobility, you may be able to lift this model in and out of a car boot without a hoist.

Robooter X40

The Robooter X40 is an absolute a show-stopper – you can really imagine this at the concert! ✨🎹

From a mobility perspective, it bridges the gap between indoor and outdoor use,🏘️pairing omnidirectional wheels and a max gradient of 10° to its compact dimensions and sleek aesthetics. It’s also the only model in the range with an automatic folding mechanism. So, if bending down to fold and unfold your powerchair isn’t possible, the X40 is naturally going to be your best option.

The X40 does have a lower max user weight than the rest of the range at 120kg (18.8st). It’s also the heaviest with a transport weight of 41.8kg, so you’ll need a ramp or hoist with this one.

Robooter E60-A

The Robooter E60-A is for the go-getter! Primarily designed with outdoor use in mind, 🖼️ with 10in omnidirectional wheels, suspension and impressive ground clearance, it’s still compact enough to navigate the office or shopping centre🏬

It also adds additional comfort in the way of an adjustable backrest angle, a helpful feature if you’re going to spend longer periods of time in your chair, or you have postural needs.

With a manual fold mechanism, it folds to an impressively compact package and will comfortably stow away in most car boots 🤏

Robooter E60 Pro-A

A step up from the E60-A, the Robooter E60 Pro-A is an unashamedly outdoor powerchair 🏞️ With 12in omnidirectional wheels comes greater traction, step climbing ability and higher ground clearance. This is one for exploring the woods! 🪵🍂

As with the E60-A, it’s still highly transportable with a manual fold mechanism. It does have a slightly higher transport weight of 37.4kg.
