Webinar Recording | Implementing a system-wide approach to falls response: The MSE ICS Story
In the UK, falls are the second most common reason for an ambulance call-out. However, due to the current pressure on the ambulance services and falls being given low priority, fallers are often left waiting on the floor for an ambulance, sometimes for hours.
Against a backdrop of COVID-19 and the unprecedented pressure on the ambulance service, Mid and South Essex (MSE) have implemented Raizer Chairs in care homes, reducing ambulance callouts to care homes by 69%, and falls response in UCR that is saving a projected £196,000 each year.
Watch this webinar recording to hear the key players at MSE ICS talk us through the problems they were experiencing, how they found and implemented the Raizer Chair solution, the benefits they are seeing across Care Homes and UCR, and how this is continuing within the PCNs.
This free webinar, with a live Q&A, was hosted by Felgains and we were joined by five presenters from MSE;
- Angela Harding, Angela Harding, Quality Manager Care Sector at MSE
- Michelle Angell, Portfolio Director at Mid and South Essex Partners
- Mel Tucknott, Manager at Oakdale Care Home
- Yvonne Mubu, Head of UCRT services at MSE
- Jamie Frayne, Community Paramedic Ambassador at MSE
