What Dartex pressure relief upholstery colours are available on a riser recliner chair?
Have you heard about Dartex upholstery and curious to find out exactly what it is? Or, do you need to choose a colour? If so, this article is for you!
What is Dartex upholstery and what is the purpose of it?
Dartex Performance is a polyurethane fabric which was orginially developed in the 1980s especially for the NHS. It has several properties which make it our pressure relief fabric of choice, including that it’s:
- Waterproof
- Breathable
- Four-Way Stretch
So, if you’ve got an in-built pressure relief seat cushion in your Ashore Riser Recliner Chair or Care Chair, it needs to be combined with Dartex upholstery to enable you to get the full benefit of the pressure relief seating.
What Dartex upholstery colours are available?
You can choose from the following 9 Dartex upholstery colours:
Dartex Beige |
Dartex Black |
Dartex Blue |
Dartex Burgundy |
Dartex Cornflower |
Dartex Green |
Dartex Grey |
Dartex Mulberry |
Dartex Sage |
What does Dartex upholstery look like on a recliner chair?
You can choose to have your Dartex upholstery cover either the back and seat cushions, or just the seat cushion. If you have in-built pressure relief to the arms, the Dartex upholstery will need to cover the armrests as well.
For each of the Dartex colour swatches above, here’s just one example of what it looks like on one of our Ashore Riser Recliner Chairs or Care Chairs.
Just a couple of things to bear in mind:
- The colours can look slightly different depending on what upholstery you opt for on the outer of the chair.
- The outer upholstery can be a wipe-clean, waterproof vinyl or a standard domestic fabric.
