What’s the quickest way to buy a mobility scooter?

If you’ve been researching mobility scooters for a while and have reached the stage of making a purchase, you may be wondering – what’s the best way to order my scooter? Let’s take a look at the options. 

1. Visit a mobility showroom

We believe the best way to buy a mobility scooter is to visit a reputable mobility showroom. 

Visiting a showroom gives you the opportunity to see a range of scooters in person and try them out before committing to a purchase. You should also be able to request a full assessment of your needs if required. 

Most showrooms will also hold stock, so you can buy and take a scooter home on the same day. 

Our Mobility Showroom is based in Ipswich, Suffolk, and is open from 8 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday. We have a large range of scooters available to try and purchase, as well as a wide range of other mobility products.

2. Buy from an online store

If you’re unable to get to a mobility showroom, you may wish to purchase your scooter from an online store. 

Buying a scooter online can be a fast way to get your scooter, with most offering delivery time of under a week. 

The downside of buying online is that you’re unable to physically see and try the product before purchasing. 

All of our scooters are available to buy online, with most able to be delivered between 2-7 days, subject to stock availability. 

3. Place an order over the phone

Finally, you can also order a scooter by phoning a mobility scooter dealer and placing your order over a phone. 

As with buying online, the downside of this method is that you’re unable to physically see and try the product before purchasing. 

However, most reputable mobility shops will be willing to give you honest advice and answer any questions you have about the scooter you buy, to give you assurance and confirm that it is the right model for you.

Typical mobility scooter delivery times

If a scooter is kept in stock, you can expect it to be delivered between 2-10 days after you purchase it from a mobility dealer. 

If your chosen scooter is particularly large or has customisations that need to be ordered in specially, your delivery time may be longer.
