Which powerchairs are crash-tested?

If you’re looking for a powerchair for yourself or a loved one, you may have come across the term ‘crash-tested’ and be wondering what this means.

In this article, I’ll explain what crash-tested powerchairs are, and which powerchairs out of our range are classed as crash-tested.

What is a crash-tested powerchair?

A crash-tested powerchair is an electric wheelchair that has been tested to the ISO 7176-19 standard.

This means they can be used in Community Transport vehicles or adapted vehicles for transporting powerchair users without them being removed from the powerchair itself.
